Abstract

The purpose of the Detroit Community Climate working group session is to gather several mid-size and small community-based organizations that are implementing climate adaptation strategies to bridge connections and assess potential collaborations or shared projects.

Description

The Detroit Community Climate working group session's goal is to bring together a number of groups that are actively implementing climate adaptation projects to discuss successes, needs and potential opportunities to collaborate and or advance the work. The session will be a facilitated discussion with small group work. Work will be done prior to the session to document successes and needs so that this information can be shared at the session in an efficient manner. This will allow more time to identify common vision and goals and discussion of shared work if there is interest. In addition, we would like to introduce some of the scientists attending the session that are interested in providing technical assistance and potentially time for the groups to ask for help.
